What is storytelling?

Storytelling is the art of sharing events real or fictious in order to entertain, educate or motivate.  A storyteller may use words, gestures, music and other techniques in order to share thier adventure.  People are motivated to tell stories for a variety of reasons; to pass along cultural tales of important figures, to inspire a group of people to accomplish their goals, to inform or simply entertain.
